2017 Honda CR-V: Recall Alert

2017 Honda CR-V

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 8,100 model-year 2017 Honda CR-V SUVs

The Problem: A fuel supply pipe may have been improperly manufactured, which could result in the pipe disconnecting and leaking while the vehicle is in motion, causing the Used Engine to stall and increasing the risk of a crash. Also, the disconnected pipe may leak fuel, which increases the risk of a fire in the presence of an ignition source.

This recall expands on a recall from July after Honda received reports of fuel leaks involving fuel feed pipes not originally identified as defective by its supplier.

The Fix: Dealers will replace the fuel supply pipe for free.

What Owners Should Do: Honda will begin notifying owners included in the expanded recall in mid-January. Owners can call the automaker at 888-234-2138, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit www.safercar.gov to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
