After rounds of speculation and a first look at the all-new SUV at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show, we've finally gotten a chance to drive the 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross — and take some photos of it away from the auto show floor.

The confusing choice to resurrect a beloved sports car's name for use on a small crossover is compounded by an equally confusing design. The Eclipse Cross is smaller than its Outlander Sport stablemate but larger than a subcompact SUV. An edgy and aggressive exterior design hid a bland interior in the vehicle on display.

So, does the Eclipse Cross look better or worse off the show floor and out in the wild? You be the judge.
