If you're driving a model-year 2015 or 2016 Lamborghini Aventador SV around, you may want to watch how hard you throw it into the curves. Eight (yes, eight) Lamborghini Aventador SV coupes and roadsters are being recalled because of bolts in the wheel hub that could loosen over time — and with continued driving allow the wheel to come right off.
While this probably isn't as critical an issue if your Lamborghini is sitting in a collector's garage, it can be dangerous if you're taking your ultra-exotic sports car out on the town — generally speaking, a wheel falling off and rolling down the red carpet as you pull up to the valet isn't going to be the entrance you're looking to make at the black-tie charity gala.
But the good news is that, once Lamborghini starts contacting owners Aug. 31, it shouldn't take long to let all eight of them know. Just in case one of you Aventador drivers out there is concerned about the cost of a wheel repair on a car that literally costs as much as a house, don't worry: Dealers will replace the bolts free of charge — so all you'll be out is the time with your assistant when they take it to the dealership for you.
And if by long odds you non-Lambo-owning motorists pull up next to an Aventador at a stoplight, you may wanna give 'em an extra-wide berth when the light turns green ... just in case.

Vehicles Affected: Eight model-year 2015-16 Lamborghini Aventador SV coupe and roadster sports cars
The Problem: The bolts centering and supporting the brake discs to the wheel's hub may loosen over time, which may result in the wheel detaching, increasing the risk of a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will replace the centering bolts with ones that have thread-locking fluid for free.
What Owners Should Do: Lamborghini will begin notifying owners Aug. 31. Owners can call the automaker at 866-681-6276, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4263 or go to its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
