Hot on the heels of parent company Nissan offering Alexa functionality on some of its cars, Infiniti is adding the same features to a number of its models. Select Infiniti models with either Infiniti InTouch Services or Infiniti Connection telematics are eligible.

Owners will be able to ask Alexa to honk the horn and flash the lights, lock o2018 Ir unlock their car doors, and start their car remotely. These features ostensibly target four key demographics: people with their hands full of things; forgetful people; people who are paranoid that they're forgetful; and people who dislike getting into a car that's too hot or too cold.

"This new connected feature is a great convenience that allows owners who may be walking in the door with their hands full of groceries — or those who simply forgot — to ask Alexa to lock their car doors," Infiniti said in a statement. "It is also a nice feature for owners in colder climates who, this winter, will be able to warm up their vehicles without leaving the house."

The new Alexa skill for Infiniti is currently available in the Alexa Skills Store.
