2012-2014 Audi A6, A7: Recall Alert

2013 Audi A6

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 48,700 model-year 2012-14 Audi A6 luxury sedans and A7 luxury hatchbacks

The Problem: The fuel line has a compression point that can weaken, potentially resulting in a fuel leak that, in the presence of an ignition source, increases the risk of fire.

The Fix: Dealers will replace the fuel line for free.

What Owners Should Do: Audi manufacturer Volkswagen will begin notifying owners Feb. 5, 2018. Owners can call the automaker at 800-253-2834, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit www.safercar.gov to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
